Poetic Justice for Cersei Lannister : Game of Thrones
The Dragon Queen looked so strong with all the allies and henchmen specially the alliance with Dorne and Tyrell brokered by Varys, the master of whispers. But so far, Dragon Queen has nothing but losses on her side as the the Lannisters have managed to capture the Dornish mother and daughters, Greyjoy princess and poison the Matriarch of House Tyrell, Lady Olenna (RIP) all headed to take down Queen Cersei.
The writers are projecting Cersei as a powerful, fearless and a tyrant dictator. She is not worried about hiding her relation with her brother Jamie Lannister anymore. She is threatening the other houses to join the war on her side or bear the consequences. This all is happening after she blew up the Sept of Baeler in sixth season. She is more relentless now as she faces enemies in every direction, North (Jon Snow and company), the South (Dorne), the West (Euron and the Iron Islands), and most prominently, the East (Daenerys Targaryen and her army of Unsullied).
But there is one threat that is moving towards her with no army and weaponry and which, she is completely unaware of, is Arya Stark. The younger daughter and third child of Lord Eddard Stark and his wife Lady Catelyn Stark. When Arya saw her father publicly beheaded, she made a promise to herself that she will take revenge from all those who were involved in destroying her family.
And so far, she has been successful in taking revenge from all those who were in her list. And now since she posses the skill to disguise learnt by the god of many faces, she is even stronger. Topping her list is Cersei Lannister as she played a key role in the execution of her father and the death of Lady at red wedding.
In the beginning of the 7th season Arya discloses it a group of people that she is going to kill the queen which everyone laugh at and ignore as a joke from a small girl. But looking at the past seasons and her strong will to survive and strike back, it seems that she will be able to take the revenge from Cersie before anyone else. Now we can only imagine that how will she do it? But the viewers are certainly expecting a poetic justice here. Maybe something similar to Ned Stark's fate.
